Let Your Day Soar

I have been crazy busy getting ready for my craft shows so I haven't been posting lately but I made this card for my husband's friend's daughter who just had a heart transplant.  I used one of my Stamping Bellas and some retired Stampin Up cardstock, ribbon and some flowers, patterned paper, stickles and brads from my stash.  I love it!  It is so bright and cheerful and I am sure she will love it too.

Make A Wish

Here is a card I made for a friend's birthday coming up this month.  I used a Stamping Bella image and papers from Carta Bella.  I used Bic Mark-its and copics and flowers, brads, and ribbons from my stash. I did some paper piecing with the gift and her dress. The sentiment comes from Paper Trey Ink's Mega Mixed Messages set.  I think it is a fun card and I hope she likes it as much as I liked making it.

Happy Anniversary

It's been a while since my last post.  I have been busy making cards for my craft shows coming up.  This card is one that I made for my parents for their 50th anniversary.  I used on old retired stamp from Stampin up.  I think it was from the Seaside Sketches stamp set.  I used papers from Authentique.  I used copics and stickles and letter stickers from Lily Bee Designs and that's about it.  Pretty basic but I love how it turned out.

Thanks a Latte

Hi Everybody!  I am starting my card making for the craft shows I am doing in November and below is a quick Thank You card I made the other day.  I made my own patterned paper from my Imagine and I used the Yummy cartridge for that.  I used Beyond Birthdays cricut cartridge for the coffee cup cut at 3" and I used a couple of retired Stampin'up punches for the ovals.  I used an old stamp set for the sentiment (I don't even know where it came from) and of course a couple of mini buttons for accents.  I really lik ehow it turned out.

CardzTV Christmas in July Challenge #1

Here is my entry for the CardzTV Christmas in July Challenge #1.  The challenge was to make a christmas card with any kind of animal on it.  I used 2 cricut cartridges.  I used Create-a-Critter for the penguin and Gingerbread for the hat.  Both were cut at 2 1/2".  The body of the penguin was cut with DCWV glitter white cardstock and the background patterned paper is from Echo Park's Season's Greetings 6x6 pad from last year and I used bakers twine and mini buttons to accent the card.  I think it came out so cute!

Welcome to BOO-Ville

My sister's favorite holiday is halloween and every year I make 5 cards and mail them to her the week leading up to halloween day so she gets one a day for 5 days.  This year I have decided to do 10 cards.  The last card is always the biggest and has the most work in it.  Here it is.  It is a stair step card and I used 3 cricut cartridges for all of the pieces.  I used Chic and Scary for the trees, Happy Hauntings for the gravestones and Holiday Cakes for the house.  I also used a retired Stampin' up set called Boogly Eyes for all of the little characters.  I colored them in and cut them out.  For the sentiment I used Card TVs Spooky Sayings.  I absolutely love how it came out but I don't think the pictures do it justice.  There is a lot going on in the card and it was really hard to get a good shot of everything.

Cardz TV Stamps DT Challenge #11 "Anything Goes!"

Here is my submission for the Cardz TV DT Challenge #11 "Anything Goes!".  My Dad gets a ride from friends once a week to dialysis and he needed a thank you card to show his appreciation.  This is what I came up with today and I loved it so much I decided to submit it to Cardz TV.  I used Elegant Edges (one of my favorite cartridges) for the frame and Nifty Fifties for the car.  The paper is from Authentique's Celebrate 6x6 pad and I printed out the sentiment on the computer.  Super fun!

Heartfelt Thanks

My mom asked me to make "the most beautiful" (her words) Thank you card.  I wanted to do something vintage and for the first time in a long time the card looks exactly as I pictured it in my mind.  My cards usually never look like I think they are going to when I start to create one.

Anyway, I used Tim Holtz' Vintage Typwriter Die which I cut on chipboard first and then I cut it out with paper and glued the two together.  I distressed it with Tim Holtz' tea dye stain ink.  Then I printed out the sentiment using the "carbontype" font on my computer on some of the lined cardstock from Basic Grey Basics collection and inked it and put it in the typewriter as if it had been typed.  I tore off the top of it to give it an even more vintage look.

Then I glued some beige lace and ivory flat backed pearl trim at the bottom of the typewriter.  For the base of the card I cut and distressed and inked some of the same Basic Grey paper and then I cut a piece of newsprint paper from Echo Park's For the Record 6x6 paper pad and repeated the distressing process.  Once I glued those down on some Bazzill Chocolate Cardstock I arranged the Prima roses the way I wanted them and then placed the typewriter on foam tape for some dimension.

I absolutely love it and I am definitely going to have to make more of these.

Make A Wish

I made these 2 cards for my nieces who have birthdays this month.  I used my new favorite collection of paper from Authentique - Blissful.  I used 2 Greeting Farm Creepy Crew stamps (I love these girls) and did some paper piecing.  I used my copics and Bic Mark-its and some bakers twine and some Basic Grey adhesive pearls.  I used the Spellbinders deckled rectangles (my new favoite dies) for the matting.  I love these cards and I don't want to give them away!

If Friends Were Flowers, I'd Pick You

Here is a card for a good friend.  It is a stair step fold card and I think these are super fun to make.  I used a LaLaLand Crafts image, colored and cut out.  Then I used the C.C. Designs border flowers die for the garden and the grass die to accent the flowers.  The paper used is retired Stampin Up for the base, grass, flowers and label.  The patterned paper is from SEI's Chickadoo collection.  The stamped sentiment is from MPS Everyday life stamp set.  Hope she likes it!

It's Graduation Time!

A friend asked me to make a couple of graduation cards for her niece's and this is what I came up with.  I used the digital image "Graduation Anya" from the Greeting Farm and I printed it off on white cardstock.  Then I printed it off 2 more times on 2 different patterned papers from my new favorite collection Blissful from Authentique.  I then cut out the pieces I wanted and paper-pieced them on the image and used my Copics and Bic Mark-its to color her in.  I used my Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles to mat her and some bakers twine and Basic Grey adhesive pearls for accents.  The letter stickers are from LilyBee Designs.  All-in-all I love them!

Stair Step Card

I made this for my little 5yr old niece who just had emergency brain surgery.  I wanted to make something 3-D and interactive for her.  I love how it came out.  I used Stampin' Up cardstock for the base and the SEI Chickadoo collection for the patterned paper.  The images are from LaLaLand Crafts and I used my Spectrum Noir pens to color them in.  The ribbon is from Paper Trey Ink and the chipboard letters are teal foil board from American Crafts.

Bloom Where Planted

Another fun card to make.  The image is from C.C. Designs Stamps Laugh Lines collection.  Isn't she adorable?  Colored with copic markers of course.  The patterned papers are from the Basic Grey June Bug collection.  I paper-pieced the boots on her for a little more dimension. The flowers, brads and ribbon are from my stash (I am trying to use up all of my old stuff to make room for new stuff and it is going to take me forever) and the stamped saying is from MPS Everday Life (I think).  I like this card so much I don't know if I can part with it.

Super Hero Birthday Cards

I made these for a couple of friends for their birthday in May.  Have I said how much I love these images?  I can't get enough of them!  Anyway I used copics for the coloring, My Mind's Eye papers for the girl and Basic Grey papers for the boy. And of course the images are from La La Land Crafts.  I also used miscellaneous things from my stash (BG letter stickers, ribbon, adhesive pearls and rhinestones).

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms!

I made and sold a bunch of these cards for Mother's day and I love how springy they look.  I just used up some old flowers I had in my stash and I used the basket stamp from Gina K's Holiday Basket stamp set. Colored it in with my copics, cut it out and pop dotted it up.  I used my Nestabilities oval dies and a miscellaneous Mother's day saying stamp that I had.  The paper is a retired collection from Crate that I have had for years.  I punched out some butterflies with my Martha Stewart's punches for the finishing touches.

Nurse Mary!

My stepdaughter is graduating from nursing school in June and I just had to make her a card.  This is using the Cheeky Nurse from The Greeting Farm.  I just love the cheeky girls!  I used a mixture of Copic markers and Bic Mark-it markers, bakers twine and a retired collection from SEI (I think it is Chick-a-doo). The letter stickers are from the French Market collection from Lilybee Designs.  I had fun with it and it looks just like her!

Thank Ewe

Here is a card I designed for a customer of mine.  She raises sheep and placed an order of 6 cards from me.  I used the Just Because Cards cricut cartridge and did some embossing and of course used Diamond Stickles to jazz it up.  I used Groovy Guava cardstock from Stampin up and the patterned paper is from the Gypsy collection from Basic Grey.  I also created my own white flocked paper for the sheeps' body.  She loved them!

You Rock!

Here is another one.  I love the retro feel of this.  It is Mod Marci and I used the same markers and some scraps.  I had some seude fringe and I added it to give it more of a 70's feel to it.  I am having fun using up my scraps to see what I can come up with.

You've got my Heart on a String

Here is Sweetheart Marci from LaLaLand Crafts.  Again I used copics and Bic Mark-its and mostly scraps and some diamond stickles.  These are a blast to color.  It brings me back to childhood days when I spent hours coloring in my coloring books.

Hey Pumpkin

I just love these LaLaLand images. Here is Luka with pumpkin.  I used copics and Bic Mark-its markers, a bunch of scraps, bakers twine, a mini prima flower and a mini brad.  I thought it was a great fall card.

Have a Rockin' Good Birthday!

This is a fun card that I made for my father's birthday.  He is a former musician and I thought this image from LaLaLand crafts was so fun.  I used Bic Mark-its for the coloring and copics for the skin tones.  Crate paper's toy box collection was used for the background papers.  I have been having so much fun with these images.
